Methodology

Sources, in order of preference: official airline careers pages and pilot brochures, union (ALPA/Teamsters/AFA) pay tables, then reputable pilot sites (Pilot Career Center, Airline Apps, Rotate). AirlinePilotCentral (APC) is used only as a last resort when nothing else exists, and is labeled "APC (last resort, may be outdated)" with its update date. Third-party figures are labeled as such on the airline's page.

First-year FO pay is the base hourly rate for a new-hire first officer with no longevity credit. It excludes per diem, temporary premiums, profit sharing and bonuses, which are noted separately.

Figures are re-checked daily. Each day we revisit the source for every figure, update anything that changed, and record the change in the Recent changes list on the home page.

Every figure has a source link and the date we last checked it. Where sources conflict, we show the most authoritative one and note the others.

Unverified means we couldn't find a reliable, current source. We never estimate or fill in a number.

Minimums to apply are the hours, certificates and medical that each airline itself lists for new-hire First Officers, taken from its own pilot careers page or official job posting. If an airline publishes none, the cell is left blank. The FAA ATP and R-ATP rules still apply either way.

Links and partners. Website and pilot-hiring links go to official airline sites only. "Flies for" shows the major airlines each regional currently operates for, as listed on its own site; any partnership we couldn't confirm is left out.

Upgrade time is only what an airline or a reputable source publishes (e.g. hour minimums). Real upgrade times depend on seniority and base.
